Parents can help Scouts with popcorn sales in many ways, including:
- Take ordersParents can help Scouts by taking order forms to work or helping Scouts go door-to-door to sell popcorn to friends, family, and neighbors. At the end of the sale, Scouts can deliver the ordered products to customers.
- Develop a planParents can help Scouts develop a plan to maximize sales while teaching them entrepreneurial skills.
- Turn in cashParents can turn in cash sales to their unit using credit or debit payments.
- Be influentialParents can use their influence at work and in social groups to help Scouts sell popcorn.
Popcorn sales can help Scouts learn valuable skills, such as goal setting, hard work, and “paying their own way”. The funds raised from popcorn sales can also help Scouts and their troops pay for dues, adventures, and other expenses.
