Camp Tahquitz Director
Tuesday, July 1, 2025
Dear Board Members and LBAC Staff:
I’m writing to share the news that I have received and accepted the resignation of Joe Warner, our Director of Camp Tahquitz. Joe’s last day at Camp Tahquitz will be Friday, July 18.
While this is a bittersweet moment, we fully support Joe’s decision and are deeply grateful for the countless contributions he’s made during his time with us. Joe was hired in October 2020 leaving behind a notable career in supply chain management. Joe will be returning to that role in Las Vegas.
In every regard, Joe has been an exceptional member of our team — an invaluable member of our camp family, bringing unwavering dedication, care, and expertise to every corner of the property. His deep knowledge of Camp Tahquitz, his adept business acumen, commitment to safety, and tireless work behind the scenes have made a lasting impact on our camp operations and the experience of every camper and staff member.
Perhaps more than anything, I will miss Joe’s jovial personality, quick wit, hospitality, honesty, and partnership in running the business of Scouting.
Although Joe has been with us in a full-time role for nearly 5 years, it is worth mentioning Joe was initiated into the Tribe of Tahquitz in 1979. His heart has been tied to Camp Tahquitz for over 45 years.
As we prepare for this transition, please join me in thanking Joe and his wife Kerry for their 4 years 9 months of dedicated service and leadership at Camp Tahquitz. Joe and Kerry will be missed by thousands. We wish them the very best in their next chapter.
