Nathanael joined the Long Beach Area Council in 2018. Nathanael John Mooberry (friends just call him John) grew up in the Long Beach Area. He began his Scouting career in 2009 as an adult leader with ScoutReach at the Pikes Peak Council in Colorado. In 2010, he was asked to coordinate their ScoutReach program, managing the program, their camps, banquets, and other events. He rebranded their program and built it into its own district. In 2012, he became the ScoutReach District Executive. In 2017, he was promoted to District Director, managing an additional district composed of two school districts and serving over 2600 youth.

Nathanael is dedicated to making a difference in this world. He loves being a part of the impact that Scouting makes, building character and creating leaders; transforming the lives of today’s youth.

Nathanael holds degrees in Leadership Communication and Geography & Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Nathanael enjoys team building and finding ways to improve the things he is a part of.

He loves the outdoors, traveling, being active with church, and doing what he can to impact the world through service projects and other community work.

Nathanael is married to Alicia and has 3 children: Diana, Minna, and Caleb.
