Events VENTURING & SEA SCOUT PROGRAMS
Labor Day Cruise - An annual highlight for Long Beach Sea Scout ships is the overnight cruise held Labor Day Weekend.
Rendezvous - Like a Jamboree by the Sea, several Pacific Coast Councils gather for this Sea Scout program based in Long Beach each Thanksgiving weekend.
Advanced Camping Programs - Special outdoor activities and treks, oriented to Venture-aged youth and appropriate for co-ed units, are available at Camp Tahquitz during the summer and other locations throughout the year.
Scout-O-Rama - Our Council's largest annual single-day event,
S-O-R is a chance for all units to demonstrate skills and fun for each other and the community.
Scouting for Food - Units from throughout Southern California participate in this annual "Good Turn" to collect canned goods for those less fortunate.
Recognition Dinner - This is our Council's yearly salute to its outstanding youth and volunteers, highlighted by a tribute to the new Eagle Scouts and presentation of the adult Silver Beaver awards, the highest volunteer award bestowed by a local council.
