Events BOY SCOUT PROGRAMS
Summer Camp at Camp Tahquitz - The annual highlight of the Boy Scout program. Scouts camp out seven days and six nights with their troops at beautiful Camp Tahquitz in the San Bernardino Mountains .
Aquatics Summer Program - A multi-week, day camp program at the Aquatics Center Sea Scout Base where Scouts can earn aquatics merit badges, work on lifeguard skills, and study other merit badge subjects.
Camporees - Troops come together for weekend camping activities, Scout-themed events, competition and fellowship.
National Youth Leadership Training - The Council recommends that Senior Patrol Leaders and other key youth leaders in the troops attend NYLT, modeled after Baden-Powell's original "experimental" encampment that lead to the founding of the Boy Scouts.
Path to Eagle - First Class Scouts who get serious about the advancement program, and set Scouting's highest rank as their goal, are able to take advantage of several programs to assist them in working toward merit badges and get ideas for planning their Eagle service project. Parents and Scouts alike are invited.
Tribe of Tahquitz - The Tribe is the Honor Camping organization of the Council, with members selected from among the older Scouts at Camp Tahquitz . The Tribe provides a volunteer staff for the camp and has a boy-run, year-round program based on Indian Lore and camping, with approximately 150 active youth members and 250 honorary adult members. To be eligible for Tribe membership, a Scout must be at least 14 years old, have attained the rank of First Class or above and hold two of these five merit badges: Camping, Cooking, Hiking, Backpacking or Wilderness Survival.
