WILL J. REID SCOUT PARK
4747 Daisy Ave., Long Beach, CA 90805
(562) 422-2532
(Off Del Amo Blvd, between Long Beach Blvd. & the 710 Freeway.)

For more than 50 years, the 11-acre Will J. Reid Scout Camp has been a close-to-home activity base for thousands of Scouts and Scouters who have used the Training Center, picnic area and overnight campsites. The campfire bowl is a memorable spot for unit campfire programs. The camp facilities include a dining hall and a full kitchen which are frequently used for Blue & Gold Banquets and Eagle Scout Courts of Honor.
Some of the Council activities held at Will J. Reid Scout Park are Cub Scout Day Camp (five weeks during July & August) and Huck Finn Day, as well as the monthly unit leader Roundtable meetings (second Thursdays) and Tribe of Tahquitz meetings (second and fourth Wednesdays).
These historic facilities are available for groups to enjoy.  Please call 562-427-0911 for reservations and more information
Training Center - The large Conference Center and adjoining kitchen has approx. 150 capacity for meetings, receptions or dinners. The nearby Scout Hall holds up to 100 for meetings and can be partitioned for smaller "break out" sessions.
Picnic Area - Tables, cookout grills and shaded grassy areas can accommodate groups of 100 or more. There is also an open meadow area for games and assemblies.
Pool - With a capacity of about 80, is handicapped-accessible and includes heated showers. Units must provide qualified lifeguards or make arrangements for camp-provided staff.
Campfire Bowl - An amphitheater-style facility comfortably seats more than 100 people, with fire rings on both sides of the stage area. Great for daytime gatherings or evening ceremonies. Units should bring their own fire wood.
Campsites - Primitive campsites, with running water, fire rings and nearby restrooms.
To get to camp: From the 710 Freeway, exit Del Amo Blvd eastbound. Cross the river and turn right onto Daisy Ave. Camp is at the end of the street.
