Camping Programs!
Three-fourths of Scouting is “outing”.
The Long Beach Area Council is fortunate to offer three unique
properties for a variety of programs. Each is available for groups to rent
for their special events:
Camp Tahquitz boasts 640 acres of
council-owned forestland in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. Camp
Tahquitz is an easy drive 100 miles East of Long Beach. The property sits
at an elevation of 6,500 feet among rolling meadows, cedars, firs, oaks,
and some of the world’s tallest Ponderosa Pines. Programs and activities at
Camp Tahquitz include:

Aquatics Center Sea
Scout Base sits in a beautiful corner of one of seven
Long Beach marinas just a few blocks off Pacific Coast Highway. The base
features indoor, outdoor, and aquatic facilities including a fully equipped
upstairs kitchen, dining room, and meeting room overlooking the bay.

Will J. Reid Scout
Park has been a close-to-home activity base for
thousands of Scouts and Scouters for over 65 years. Spanning 11 acres, the
camp features a training center, picnic areas, and overnight campsites. The
campfire bowl is a memorable spot for unit campfire programs. The camp
facilities include a dining hall and full kitchen. Council activities held
